First portable I had was the translucent green GameBoy Pocket.

The original 3DS included a 2GB SD card. I want to say the XL has a bigger one than that, perhaps a 4GB.
There are a selection of good games on the eShop, of varying lengths and prices. I'd recommend having a look at these ones:
Pullblox
Fallblox
Dillon's Rolling Western
Gunman Clive
Liberation Maiden
Crimson Shroud
HarmoKnight
The Denpa Men
Hama Samurai
Splash or Crash
Tokyo Crash Mobs
Hydroventure: Spin Cycle
Nano Assault EX

So if a guy who likes Platformers, RPGs, Strategy games, Puzzle games, Beat Em Ups and some Arcade like titles wants to get a bunch of cheap games (less than 5€ per title, unless it's THAT good) what should he get? Also, I don't think I'll be buying any VC games, specially since I probably own like 80% of the Game Boy games that might interest me.
