Just looked up a stag beetle and that is exactly what it is. I never knew there was an english name for that animal.Ack wrote:You mean like a stag beetle?TheSonicRetard wrote:Kuwanga is a japanese bug that is like a cross between a roach and a beetle.Ack wrote:You say that, but I will take Snake Man any day over Chill Penguin.
And also, what the hell is a kuwanger?
And now I wonder what the MMX music sounded like on PC.
this is some of the PC version's music:
those recordings sound slightly off, likely because they come from emulation. I have a 486DX rig I've built to play old dos games with a Soundblaster 32 inside and it sounds slightly less farty on real hardware. But still, that sounds so much more normal to me than the organ-sounding SNES versions. I remember being thrilled when I got the DOS version of MMX, half because it came with an awesome 6-button controller, and half because I was dying to play the game and didn't have an SNES. The DOS port is really good, especially for the time. The only port I'd rate above it from that era (this was all pre-windows 95) would be Super Street Fighter II Turbo, which blows even the 3DO version away.
