I am actually going through this right now.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I like handheld gaming a lot more than I ever used to.
Haha. Apparently an user left his computer with Boardgamegeek opened and when her kid saw the Taiko avatar I use there she liked it and thumbed me, as well as giving me a small "tip" in the forum's currency.AppleQueso wrote:You post on a forum with toddlers?
I will have to agree with this. I got the Game Boy at the peak of its popularity and enjoyed it at times even more than my new Super NES, if you can believe that. I also loved the Super Game Boy attachment. When the GBA came out, I was seriously contemplating a purchase, but my attention was deflected towards a rockbottom price on a brand new Dreamcast, and the rest they say, is history.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I like handheld gaming a lot more than I ever used to.

You don't know that for certain sir. I really wanted to like Bioshock. I started the game 3 times and wasted more time than I should have giving it a chance. Something about it just really annoyed me and it made me not want to play it. I had to force myself to keep trying, hoping something would flip so I could enjoy it.dsheinem wrote:It's free (and on the disc) with Bioshock Infinite on PS3. Grab that, you won't be disappointed with either.
That's surprising, BioShock is excellent. Maybe go back another iteration to System Shock 2?Hobie-wan wrote:You don't know that for certain sir. I really wanted to like Bioshock. I gave SS2 a couple of tries too and it also annoyed me.Stark wrote:That's surprising, BioShock is excellent. Maybe go back another iteration to System Shock 2?
How far you got? SS and BS (and DX) are both story driven games. If you go in with a Doom/Quake mindset, it won't be enjoyable. And SS, like Deus Ex, is really more of a RPG which you play from a FPS perspective rather than a straight up FPS game. And survival horror plays a big part in System Shock too.Hobie-wan wrote:I gave SS2 a couple of tries too and it also annoyed me.Stark wrote:That's surprising, BioShock is excellent. Oh I like RPG as well. I wasn't playing them like a plain old FPS.Menegrothx wrote:How far you got? SS and BS (and DX) are both story driven games.
