Is There A "Too Old" Cut-Off Point on Games For You?
Re: Is There A "Too Old" Cut-Off Point on Games For You?
I JUST DIDN'T FIND THE RIGHT GAMES YET. I'M IN LOVE WITH THE 2600, 7800, COLECOVISION, AND COMMODORE 64.

The 7800 is newer than the Famicom/NESo.pwuaioc wrote:To me NES is primarily my limit, but mostly because the games that I would enjoy on older gen consoles, the NES has and does better. I certainly can play a handful of earlier games on the 2600, Colecovision, and 7800, but my interest in them isn't as strong as I'd like them to be.

I grew up on the Atari 2600 but I can only go back to the NES. Anything before the NES just isn't fun.

Define "fun".
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

Speaking as a collector I love the old stuff. As a gamer, though, it depends on the game but on the whole I'm not really attached to too many pre-NES era video games.

Anything pre-NES has literally zero interest to me in terms of actually playing it. I also have little interest in original B/W gameboy games.

Some of you guys are missing out on some indispensable and historic games.
Anyone who enjoys video games should play Yars' Revenge, Defender, Missile Command, and Space Invaders, on a 2600 console.
