Re: How do you deal with people that loiter?
Back when i was young, i worked at taco bell. What good would a taco bell be without a homeless man trashing the place because tacos went up 10 cents(True story). The last time i set a foot in taco bell was the last day i managed a taco bell. Needless to say, it was a bad job. I did smoke allot of what kids call"The Green" in the coolers. Man, food service is so rank with drug use. It's also where i picked up my pack a day habbit. I'm pretty sure just about everyone in food service smokes cigs. I never cared when people loitered in the store. I would just talk to them and make sure they were not up to anything. I can't tell you the amount of people that went number 2 in the urinal.

I worked at a truck stop McDonalds when I was 19. I'm sure it's about the same as Taco Bell. Oh what memories

Well since the sitting guy isn't black, he's not a threat IM TOTALLY KIDDING.
I agree with whoever said the employee should be fired. At the very least reprimanded, if not terminated for exploding at a customer not to mention using an offensive epithet. As far as the kid with the backpack and hat is concerned, maybe he's waiting for a bus or a ride or something.
Unless he's actively bothering someone I don't think any action was needed. I have to admit I'd be annoyed at someone just sitting there all the time - I have a lot of pet peeves and one of them is people doing something (anything) without any real reason.
"Why are you sitting there dude!? GO HOME!" would be my reaction but I'd definitely restrain myself from actually confronting him if he wasn't actually doing anything.

I've started seeing this sort of stuff locally at McDonald's, but it's probably because they offer free Wi-fi. Just about everyone that I see loitering in there late at night is playing with a phone or a laptop now.
Current systems: Nintendo Switch and XBox 360,

Thats a really good point and about the wifi..
Is this guy really a threat to anyone? If not then just let him be.
The problems that I see due to loitering are when there are large groups of people hanging around, that becomes a problem and then the police are the only people to be left to deal with that. Its what I pay them for, so they do it

Well, at least he didn't vomit. I used to work at a gas station during the graveyard shift, and one night some underage kid came in and vomited all over the bathroom and then passed out in it until a friend came in and got him. They left without saying a word. I don't know how he did it, but apparently he puked in the toilet, then continued to puke while walking to the sink, then puked in the sink, then fell under the sink and puked all over the walls beneath it. Loiterers suck, but at least he didn't do that!

I worked at a retro game store alone when a guy comes in looking skecthy asking if
the place made good money i told him it made enough to keep me in shotgun shells
and asked if he wanted to see. I have never seen anybody in such a hurry to
leave a store. My boss thought it was funny.
