Yes, same here, I do have multiples of Sega consoles.

Five bucks for just a Saturn console or Dreamcast is a steal.

I think I have about five or six saturns and four dreamcasts.

I eventually find extra controllers and piece them together.

I used to have multiples of nes/SNES but I've dwindled down to about two or three of each. I've lent some to family and sold some to friends.

But lately its gotten harder to put together old nintendo consoles.

Sega stuff is always easy to get, except Saturn av cables.

So yeah, I do hoard.

Shut up and don't judge me.

I have a dead modded Dreamcast, A Dreamcast for playing GD-Roms and a Dreamcast for playing CD-Rs.

I have 2 gamecubes. A dead N64 (well the case and the PCB) and a working one.

I wouldn't say I hoard. each system even duplicates have their purpose.

I used to, and given the chance I'd probably start again. It's something that unintentionally happens. If it's a good price, I'll pick it up with partial intent on reselling it or giving it to a loved one. However, it ends up being shoved in the closet for "spare parts" or "just in case". Kinda wish I had a spare Dreamcast at the moment...

I think I had 7 Mega Drives at one point. I often end up giving them to people on permanent lone, just to get more friends into more cart based gaming. 2 dreamcasts, about four gamecubes, probably five or so 64s (but only one power supply and one French power supply, why is it always the first part to die dammit!). 2 Saturns (but one has that horrible screen flickering issue, the second one is a round button one I found in a pawn shop for a nice price and WILL mod... some day), several GBCs 2 GBA SPs, 2 Master System 2s plus the power base converter. 2 Snes's (doesn't really count coz one has been modded to only play Jap games).

Short answer - 'Yes'

(there always seems to be at least one good reason not to get rid of any given console)

I do if it means that I can sell them for a bit more, or I know that someone is looking for one. What I really hoard is parts and accessories i.e. power cables, game controllers, memory cards, pin connectors for the NES etc.

I do like having a spare console if I find one on the cheap, but only for older systems.

I buy them if they're in better than good condition and a good deal, but my friends buy or borrow them soon after at cost (I think I've bought more than 10 xboxes and 'fixed' them but I only have one in my posession) I do seem to be hoarding gameboys tho. I have many mint monos, several GBA's in VG condition and one of each revision in mint or near condition. About 15 if you count the Ds's. Dunno how that happened but they fill a drawer.
