LetterBomb imo, fastest and safest!

But the way i did it, it needed to go on the internet to grab files and updates.

Yes. That was added in the update that lets you launch games from your SD card.

stupid question: Do modded Wii's play DVD movies? My extra Wii is currently just being used for Netflix. But if I could get it to be a DVD player too, that would really be a two-birds/one-stone sitch.

Yup! I believe homebrew channel plays DVDs right out of the box.

depends on the disk drive.If its a launch day wii yes cause mine will.They took it out in later version.

If you are looking to just run NES,SNES,etc emulators there is the SD media launcher from codejunkies.com.20 bucks no sd card included

Fnially got around to modding it! Send me some emulators to download and some Brawl hacks! I want more characters and stages. About to download the Project M Level pack.
