I've purchased a lot off ebay and haven't had a problem yet. Make sure you check the condition listed. Also, checking the sellers feedback helps a lot too.

As long as you don't buy PAL games with fragile jewelcases you should be fine.

If you're not sure about the disc condition, just ask the seller if the disc has scratches before buying...

Not really a game, but I bought a brand new Dreamcast Gameshark CDX for $30.
The Ultimate Lord of the Zombies.....
