Doing a full system scan with norton right now, downloading SpyBot.

First thing is get rid of Norton, it acts as bad as Spyware at times. Make sure you reboot (hard reset) and run Spybot or whatever other utilities you have in your arsenal in Safe Mode after you download all the updates. Good luck.

My dad forced me to get the paid version of norton. I didn't want it, but I use it anyways. I noticed I had a shitload of cookies that were level 5 on SpyBot. Could the tons of them have anything to do with it?

Show that to your Dad at the risk of getting grounded from the PC. Stay away from the obvious sites that did this, remove Norton and be sure to turn on Spybot SD Resident. It is sooooo much friendlier then Norton, works in the background unlike Norton pestering you all day long.

I've found just running a script blocker on my browser + Malwarebytes once a month or so has kept me pretty clean.

Windows logs your BSOD, download 'BlueScreenView' and see the last one and tell us what is says.
