Did he ever really recover from the first one? I think that so much has happened since then, that it just hasn't been touched on since.

I thought the phone call angle was more than brilliant. Hanging up the phone was symbolic of an end, and I think that's what it should have been; an end.

And I'm assuming the figure is Lorie. It has to be, but maybe the writers are putting out a red herring. But the Lorie arc needs to end.

I agree. It was fine, but not quite up to par with the first half of this season. The Lori thing got an eye roll out of me, and the scene where Andrea delivers that speech was cringe-worthy. It sounded so stupid and the townsfolk's reaction to it was hilarious.
Not like the characters are known for making wise decisions, but not killing Merle mad zero sense.
Writers have to make their characters do stupid things to facilitate drama, nature of the beast. Besides, what would the show be without Ninja Cyborg Merle 2.0?

I watched most of the marathon, so the build up had a lot to do with my disappointment. The last four or five episodes were spectacular. This one did seem a bit "farmy" as someone else pointed out, and felt a bit lifetime-ish.

Pretty positive the show will only get better.

Dear Andrea,

Please give up on the Governor.

The two of you just aren't good together.

You're too incompatible.

He's too evil and you're too stupid to realize it.

they went from shooting walkers on the run and in vehicles to not hitting shit during that firefight. it also seems full auto assault weapons just fall from trees. yeah, i know, just a tv show.

Jesus christ, the writers treat the townsfolk like the angry crowds in south park. "Rabble Rabble Rabble!"

In the premiere, Andrea gives her (*shudder*) inspiring speech, and brunette chick, along with every else, decide to do as she says and rebuild their hearts. And the town. Or whatever. Then in the next episode Andrea asks brunette chick where the governor is and gets a "fuck off" type response from her.

I can't hate Andrea the character anymore, she's not a real. She's an idiotic mish-mash of convenient story plotting manipulated by the writers to control the direction of the show. It's like they decided since everyone already hated andrea, they'd just turn her character into a plot device that allows them to move the story where they want, without having to get there through logical and natural decisions by the other characters.

I'm past the point of wanting her to die, because if she does, another character will just have to pick up the slack of the village idiot/plot control, and frankly I like most the other characters.

Yeah, if people did smart things on TV, or even just NORMAL things, every show would last one season, if even that. The truth is, real people are smarter than TV characters.

Dear Andrea,

JUST DIE!!!

You are the single dumbest person in the history of this show. You are worthless, and you have an ugly face. Seriously what's with the women on this show? Glenn's girlfriend is the only piece of eye candy, unless you count her jail bait sister who is not nearly as young in real life as they try to make her look on the show.

It didn't end with one phone call in the comic either, but it didn't interfere with his leadership role though. That's the biggest difference in the show.

That was awful. That scene was poorly written. Those townspeople are idiots and whiners, and Andrea's speech was so cliche. To be fair, I recall those people being just as dumb in the comic book. It's a zombie horror genre thing, you always see people acting stupidly. God, you guys should play the Walking Dead Telltale game if you want to some dumb motherfuckers. One word, Kenny. He's even dumber than Andrea from the TV show.

Speaking of dumb people, when did Glenn become Andrea's male counterpart? He's acting like a total fucking idiot. They're sort of making him act like a certain character did in the comic book at about this point in the story, but it made more sense with that character. With Glenn, he just seems like an idiot.

Axel pretty much went out just like he did in the comic, although the poor fuck at least got laid first in the comic.

Where the hell is Tyrese? I have absolutely no idea what they are doing with him. They are not even remotely following his story and arc from the comic book.

The one person who gets a kill in the firefight and it's Carl  He seems to have his shit together better than Rick does. Let's just let him lead. Glenn is being an idiot. Rick is off in crazy land, and Darryl is too busy kicking ass to be leading people. At this point, I'd be more willing to follow that kid than anyone else

glen is feeling guilty he couldn't protect his girl from getting "almost" raped. so instead of not being the badass then he's doing it now.

when that box truck went through the gates the ice cream truck from twisted metal went through my head.
