All in jest!

And everything in that discussion was all about making assumptions. I assumed he could be a bad Father, Dish assumed he could be a good Father. Squashed.

Frown: I don't think we have a "What is the best STAR WARS game to date" poll.

What? It's clearly Empire Strikes Back for the 2600.

Why are we talking about video games in the off-topic forum?

I equate this to: NO FIGHTING IN THE WAR ROOM!

Also, Rogue Squadron, N64.

Less serious response: Pod Racing! N64 / Episode 1 on PSX.

You're all wrong. It's Star Wars Chess for the Sega CD.

Apparently, a study shows that without the pensions, USPS would actually be MAKING money for our government...

More importantly, the Republicans ensured that no surplus WILL EVER AGAIN BE HAD:

"(2)(A) Not later than June 15, 2007, the Office shall determine the Postal surplus or supplemental liability, as of September 30, 2006. If that result is a surplus, the amount of the surplus shall be transferred to the Postal Service Retiree Health Benefits Fund established under section 8909a by June 30, 2007."

Any surplus is automatically transferred to the fund. Any. All. Thank the Republicans for fucking up the post office.
...but those pensions do exist, and long before Bush Jr. This is one of those issues that is not REP/DEM, it just isn't. There were pension bailouts followed by rate increases at least twice during the CLINTON administration (pre-bush). That was the point of the article I linked and DID READ yesterday. The 11 bil of that 15 bil was to pension plans - that was exactly the poing. Just like previous bailouts before - which have been occurring since the Reagan administration, including (3) republican presidents and (2) democrat presidents.

Many businesses would be profitable if they weren't paying (or in this case...overpaying) for pension and other benefit plans, but, they are and they do. However, well-run (non-government) businesses plan and adjust accordingly to remain solvent.

It's analgous to me saying I have enough to pay all of my bills, if you don't count the interest I owe. Why wouldn't we count the interest...it does have to be paid. Why wouldn't we count the pension plans...they do have to be paid. So no, they are not making money, unless you twist the numbers to make it so.

Smile: Just won a copy of 3D Baseball for a grand total of $12.50 shipped! I would have paid that and more for a copy, but this also came with Bottom of the Ninth and Worldwide Soccer, anyone interested in those two?
