Worst/Least Favorite Final Fantasy Game?

I like mystic quest yes. I like the older 16 bit style final fantasy games the best. I do like Final Fantasy IX and VII. I thought IX was great. I just prefer the mideavel swords and magic jrps better. Which is why I might like IV better than VI although VI had steampunkish qualities its still felt like a sword and magic type JRPG. It is hard for me to rank IV and VI for me.

FFV is awesome. X-Death is awesome.

If I ever want to experience every Final Fantasy cliche, I play V. It has the job classes, and pretty much every classic enemy frmo the series. It even introduces the "Harder than final boss" bosses, one of which is the first "Weapon"

I never did finish it, but Final Fantasy V is awesome. Job class is very fun, story is very fun and doesn't worry too much about taking itself too seriously, etc. Just a really fantastic game all around.

I normally don't like grinding in rpgs but for some reason V makes it fun.

Just watch out for that PSX Anthology version. Fan translation or the GBA release is far superior.

FFV probably does have the best gameplay in the series and balanced difficulty. Consistently more challenging than the rest of them for the most part.

Honestly, the PSX port issues with FF5 and 6 are blown way out of proportion. Yeah the load times are a tad annoying, but they're honestly no worse than the 3D FF titles.

If you're just talking about the translation, yeah FF5's psx translation kinda blows. Feris's accent thing is annoying.

V takes longer to break in half, but you can still break it in half and remove all the difficulty. I ended up walking over the two bonus bosses without needing to grind up to an obscene level; just carefully chosen jobs.

From a stopwatch perspective this is true, but the 3D games were designed with this in mind, and they used various tricks to accomodate it, such as the battle swirl and differences in encounter rates. So the feel of V and VI on the PSX is terrible, since they were designed for carts.

Surprisingly close to my personal opinions! The middle of my list would look a tad different, but VI certainly belongs at the top and XIII at the bottom.

VI first and XIII last? Pretty safe list.

If you're going to make lists ranking things, at least grow a sac. Like this:

XII sucks. XIII is better than XII.

XIII-2 is better than XII, VIII and X.
