Can't we just all get together and agree that the Atari 5200 was terrible?
Some have made the case for its goodness.

Sega has been around since 1940. I think they know more about bussiness than you, as poor as some of their decisions were.

And I find it hilarious that people cry and complain about Stolar when the Chariman of Nintendo hadn't played a videogame in his whole life and claimed JRPGs were for defective manchildren who couldn't get out of their basement.
Annnnndddd according to wikipedia Nintendo has been around since 1889. So even if the ceo of one of the biggest game companies has never played a video game, I'm guessing Nintendo probably know's more about picking a ceo than anyone of us. I do find that quote about jrpg players hilarious tho

Edit: I made that quote my signature

And a bunch of other things I can't even remember now.
I always wondered if Sega saw the writing on the wall once the PS2 came out and made a back room deal with Microsoft. Cause lets face it, In '99 every one wanted a Dreamcast but 6 months b4 the PS2 came out no one was buying. If you look at the hamburger controller, it used a very similar button configuration and it used memory cards in the same location as vmu's. Looked very different but very much the same. Plus the whole Shenmue 2 thing with it just being on xbox in the US was kinda fishy. Idk just something I always thought about.
There is more to that theory than you think. Dreamcast Support was ALMOST in the original XBOX but Sega and Microsoft couldn't come to terms on the deal.

Also the Dreamcast had windows support and the XBOX was Full on Windows, not to mention how easy it was to port Dreamcast games over to the XBOX. I always saw the XBOX as a sort of Dreamcast 1.5 with the XBOX 360 being the Dreamcast 2.

But Fantards hate that.

By the way back to Nintendo...

They had Gunpei Yakoi Killed.

so yeah...I was actually banned from a message board once forget which one for even suggesting that.

I don't think I want to post in this thread anymore :|

Also, I wonder why would anyone choose to quote me instead of Yamauchi himself.

I also remember in an issue of DC magizine where they were talking about games coming to the Dreamcast and one of them was the original Halo. Maybe it was going to be multi-platform(doubt it) but it makes you wonder. Could have been maybe Sega's saviour? If it could even play it :D.

Not huge on conspiracies(even tho were talking about one with sega and microsoft lol) but Japan's business world is much different than our own. With the virtual boy being such a terrible flop as it was I wouldn't be 'surprised' that stuff like that happens but I am more doubtful than skeptical.

I will take your name off the quote. I just thought it was funny. Didn't mean in any way to offend you if I did.

I was kind of joking about Yakoi being murdered but if you think about it is pretty fishy. Who gets hit by a car TWICE while a "friend" from Nintendo "watches"

I never saw or even heard that Halo was going to be on Dreamcast. It went from Mac to PC to XBOX then PC again after XBOX release

You heard the guy that hit him sped off right? Never found him either. Yeah all they have is a sketch deposit from a witness who was near the scene of the accident. Funny enough you can find the sketch on google.

Yeah it was in one of the later issues b4 they discontinued the magizine. I don't have them anymore but Halo was in it. Just a screen shot and a tid bit of info. This was before the Xbox came out and Halo was king so it was easily overlooked. I didn't notice until looking back over my DC mags a couple years back.

Yeah it was that issue where they talk about 100 games coming eventually to the DC or something like that. Definitley a later issue if not the last.
