Re: favorite SNES emulator
Been using ZSNES for a long time now. Hell, I haven't used another SNES emulator since I used to run the DOS snes9x.
Re: favorite SNES emulator
I agree with ZSNES. Okay many criticize the strange GUI, but if you're playing ZSNES via CRT the GUI is very useful, cause you can see the GUI
. With SNES9x is this not possible, cause of the messed up resoluiton, when you're using a CRT.

Hey, does any one know how to turn off the option in Snes9x that displays which button you're pressing. I don't know how I turned it on, but I can't find out how to turn it off. It's driving me crazy!

You should be able to disable it by hitting the comma key. It shows up as "show pressed keys" or something very similar in hot key setup under the input menu in case the comma key doesn't work.Ziggy587 wrote:Hey, does any one know how to turn off the option in Snes9x that displays which button you're pressing. THANK YOU! That was seriously pissing me off and I couldn't figure out how to disable it.

Zsnes... I tried two others a long time ago, and this was the only one that could play anything back relatively flawlessly at the time. I suspect the other emus are getting sympathy votes at this point.

I've actually switched over to using snes9x now. Man, it's come so far from what it used to be. I love all of the different graphics options it has.
Re: favorite SNES emulator
I was just comparing SMW on zSnes and 9x. There was better color in zSnes, but the sound was a little screwy (ie going down tube, getting mushroom, getting hit). The sound was more accurate in 9x.

I, too, use ZSNES and SNESGT.
