You'll be sorry to know that the goal amount is also the cap. So the Gold Classic Pack has a goal of 30,000 coins and that's the most amount of coins it'll count. I just reached the goal before and I actually got over 30,000 (I think my coin count was around 18,000 before doubling at the flag pole) but it'll only count up to 30,000.irixith wrote:I love this particular DLC. My record is just under 25,000 coins for it, but I've been practicing and I'm pretty sure I can get it as high as 35,000.
This is good and bad at the same time. The obvious is why it's bad. You want to keep playing and try to get the highest score, but you can't exactly do that once you reach the "goal" that they set. But the good thing about it is it keeps you from reaching a million coins too fast.
I said before that I had a little over 100,000 coins. I played packs 1, 2 and 3 a couple times each and now I'm over 250,000. At this rate, I'll definitely hit a million WAY before I'm done with Coin Rush mode. But, it would be nice if it would count how many coins you actually got, beyond the set goal. Getting a million coins is one thing, but it doesn't stop counting there. You can max it out with all 9's LOL.
The SpotPass message I got was advertising that packs 9 and 10 are now available. It said in the message, "This will be the final round of downloadable course packs for New Super Mario Bros. 2. Thanks to those who purchased and played these packs!"irixith wrote:I hope Nintendo keeps pushing these out, because they are the most fun part of the game.
So... I guess that means they're not planning on making any more? There's 10 packs though, which is 30 levels. That's a lot to play, considering the high replayability of them all.
And oh my god, I didn't realize how much less battery you can use by turning the brightness down. I had it set to 5 (max) since I got it, and I just tried turning it down to 3 last night and have kept it there since. The battery last a ridiculous amount of time longer now.
