I would say Darius Gaiden is one of the most epic games! I only found out Darius gaiden when I finished Gradius gaiden which I have to thank Gradius gaiden. Anyways... It was the First game that Made me love Darius!!!! Ps. Long live silverhawk!

This is probably my favorite shmup series of all time. Space fish.
The Saturn version is the best port of Darius Gaiden. Even better than the PS2 version via Tiato Legends. Saturn port has the best looking graphics, least slowdown, and by far the best sounding audio. Totally worth your money. Its a bit challenging, but that should not deter you from how incredible this game really is. All the little details were well laid out. The colors are always vibrant, and the music is pleasantly trippy. Darius Gaiden is absolutely beautiful.
I recently started playing G-Darius on the PS2 via Taito Memories. And holy shit... It's definitely my favorite Darius game so far. The giant mechanical space fish are even bigger. I really wanna try out Darius Burst Another Chronicle sometime, but I don't think an arcade machine of that exists anywhere in the States.
