Nowadays multi-plats should be PC, assuming your machine can handle them.

Everything else? I just look for the best version I can play. If they're all the same, I choose whatever's cheaper at the time. I don't really care at all.

If I go console and not PC, I will typically get it for the console which was the primary console in design, if there is one.

FFXIII was better on PS3 than 360 for example. Yet stuff like Fallout 3 ( I have it on PC, but as an example) is better on 360.

Some consideration for PS3 instead of 360 would be if a game required multiple discs on 360 and not PS3.

Where possible I'll pretty much opt for Sega above the others.
Current gen stuff I tend to go first for releases on the 360.

Like with the others, why the 360? Personal preference, or something more objective?

A personal preference, I guess, and if I had to pinpoint it I'd say the controller aspect of it very much comes into play for me in that regard. The 360 controller is one of my favorites by far.

I guess I can say when it comes to FPS's and multiplayer, I definitely prefer the 360 by far over the PS3. For the controller and I have like 10x more friends on XBL.

3rd person I prefer by far on consoles or with a controller, so I never care to play too many of those on the PC.

I just collect the games that I want to play. I don't buy games that I don't enjoy. I don't need to own every single game out there. That's not my mission

I get all multiplats on PS3 simply because I just prefer the controller and using that console. Even though the 360 multiplats often have technical edges over the PS3 ports, my 360 just sits around collecting dust, I dislike the controller (mostly because I'm not used to it), and my Xbox "collection" is laughable compared to my shelves full of PlayStation games. Basically, I just gravitate towards PlayStation stuff because that's mostly what I have. If I was really worried about getting the most out of a multiplat game, I'd just play it on PC.

For current games, usually PC if it's available on it, and whatever console it was considered better on if not. If it's a tossup, then price.

Main exception is for fighting games. The PS3's controller sucks less, so I tend to buy fighters for that either way, despite that Capcom ones (at least) tend to be slightly inferior on it.

Older games, I'll look first at which version was considered better, but also at price.

That being said, I do have a preference for keeping things on the same platform if other factors are close enough. It's just only actually come to that a handful of times. Otherwise, the previous considerations tend to sort things out.

For WRPGs I go for PC if my computer is powerful enough to run it and there's no DRM. Otherwise I go for the Xbox 360. For example, I got Oblivion on the PC, but Skyrim on the 360 because I didn't want to deal with the mandatory Steam account nonsense.

JRPGs, I go for the PS3.

If we look at the last gen... if a game is available on PS2/Xbox/GC, I generally go for the PS2. PS2 games are typically easy to find and I always have the system hooked up, while the Xbox and GC rotate in and out.

If we're looking at SNES vs. Genesis, I always get the SNES version. Unless the game is so cheap I can afford both (ie: NBA Jam).
