I've had issues with it too. At first, it didn't run. So I moved it to another folder. Then it wouldn't recognize my logitech controller. I had trouble with it even detecting the keyboard. So I started it again and it picked up my controller, but it wouldn't let me use the dpad. I don't really want to play Mega Man with analog

I played Chun Li's stage, which seemed to have enemy respawns up the wazoo. Seemed like a bit much, even for a Mega Man game. I did make it to Chun Li though and couldn't beat her after multiple attempts. I came close a few times, but she just doesn't telegraph anything and has no pattern, so I guess I'll have to pick a different stage an come back and face her when I have a weapon that she's weak to

For Chun Li I found the trick was to stay far away from her. That gives you time to jump over the spinning bird kick and it puts you out of range of her super and the leg drop.

It's a pretty fun game though its unpolished fan-game nature shines through sometimes. I beat it a few times now (still haven't unlocked that secret Akuma fight. I was told you needed 3 perfects in the first 8 stages with no continues. I did that but it didn't work).

The music is phenomenal (get it here: http://rivalrivalrival.bandcamp.com/alb ... ga-man-ost) and is definitely the best part of the game next to the boss fights.

I actually like the boss ultra combos as well as how fast some of them are and how random their AI can be. It makes for some of the most hectic boss fights I've ever faced in a Mega Man game.

It's a little short and the final stages feel kind of tacked on but there's lots of neat references (Rolento bounces on his stick like Scrooge McDuck from the NES Duck Tales game, it even makes the same sound) and secrets.

You could do a lot worse for a free game.

Edit: On Chun Li's stage; the creator said he wanted to replicate crazy Chinese traffic. It's a good place to farm 1-ups if you want to beat the game on one continue and have a shot at meeting Akuma.

You've beaten it a few times already...and it only came out yesterday?! You, my friend, are a gaming god! For me, this is most definitely gonna take some level-memorization. It feels hard even by Mega Man standards. Enemy respawns are insane, and the placement of those enemies can be infuriating. And the little things are bit harder, for example the helmet guys that shoot 3-way shots have an even smaller window of time to shoot them than they do on the NES games.

Thanks for the link to the soundtrack! I've only played a few minutes of the games so far. It's a good Mega Man clone and the Street Fighter crossover is fun, but the main thing that hit me right away was the soundtrack! Lovely chiptune demakes of the SFII soundtrack! I see the soundtrack is by A-Rival, who I usually don't care for because he usually raps over his chiptunes.

Thoughts of someone who's played the game for like 2 minutes.

At first I was like "Wow Viper's ugly"

And then this

I have nothing to say except that this is the worst thing I've ever seen.

I beat it earlier today! Very fun game, though it does have its share of glitches. I've noticed E-tanks appear in places where they shouldn't like inside walls/ceilings. The boss fights in this game are awesome! They actually put up a good fight even when you use their weakness.

I do think people are being a bit too harsh on this game(Check Capcomunity or gamefaqs). I mean its a FREE fan made game, not much reason to complain :p
