Street Fighter X Mega Man Released Today, Free-To-Download

Post by BurningDoom »

http://www.capcom-unity.com/

Sorry if someone else already posted this, but I didn't see it and a search didn't turn up anything. Seems strange that nobody has posted about this yet, here.

The game is great! It has all the 8-bit charm you'd expect. It also supports controllers. But it's tough-as-nails. This one is gonna require some level memorization.

The only thing I hate is that in the boss-battles, after so many hits, the boss gets this super-attack. It's almost as if you're getting penalized for attacking the boss, which you have to do to beat the level. And it's not like your Mega-Buster gets a super-attack or anything.

Runs like garbage, didn't even get to play it. It just runs at a snails pace.

playing it right now (runs smooth on my PC), i LOVE the 8-bit music of SF :D and the difficulty is just right for Mega Man fans. 8)

I can't get off the stage selection screen. WASD keys are not moving the cursor around and Enter is not giving me the pause menu to set up a controller.

on mine it automatically detected my PC game pad (smart joy PS2 adapter).

Game pad (PS2) default config on mine:

Select: Start
X: Shoot (hold for charge)
A: Jump
D-pad: Move player
Keyboard F4: Screen Resolution

i'm using a usb 360 controller. the right analog pushed in is enter for me. left stick is really touchy selecting levels. in game controls are working good even though i never got a controller setup option either.

I've been hearing a lot of people having problems with this game. But mine downloaded and installed in less that a minute, and automatically detected my Logitech controller; zero issues with anything. Maybe the game is optimized for Windows 8.

Runs like a champ on XP, but I've only had a few minutes to play the Blanka level which was surprisingly simple.
