No problem! I love co-op games - and I have a younger brother - so I spent a lot of time with many of these games when I was a teenager.

(There are some other good suggestions on this thread - such as Rescue Rangers and Legend of the Mystical Ninja - but I tried not to list any games that other members posted.)

Why not try a boardgame? There are some really cool, accesible ones like Pandemic out there,

Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers on the NES.

I found this game to be terrible for co-op unless both players are veteran gamers. The graphics are mildly confusing as to where you can stand. You can hit (and stun) each other with items. You can pick up the other player, often by accident. I tried playing it with my daughter and also my girlfriend, and it failed both times. Not enjoyable at all.

I'm still on a search for good two-player games for my daughter and I. So far we have really only found racing games like Mario Kart Wii and Excitetruck. I haven't tried it with her yet, but Pocky & Rocky seems promising based on my single-player plays.

Legend of Mystical Ninja is a little too difficult, since you have to be very precise with your attacks and there can be a lot of downtime with all the NPC interaction.

Bubble Bobble is decent, but the difficulty ramps up very quickly.

Actually she is pretty good, she has finished most Mario, Spyro, Crash and Final Fantasies.

Get some arcade collections, like Capcom Classics or SNK Arcade. These collections uasually give you unlimited credits and autofire, so no learning curve or button mashing.
