is she that "important" to demand a body double? either way it's nice to know thongs are the underwear of choice during a zombie apocalypse.

I don't follow you on this one. Of course there are reasons that they changed her character for the show. I enjoy the fact the writers are distancing themselves from the comic, but keeping in touch with general themes.

I don't see any reason for it other than "they felt like it". Which to me isn't a very good reason. She is the only character on the show with a completely different personality. Her story is also very different and in my opinion worse. Also, she doesn't even get a badass scar, at least not yet.

Well, stop me there. Been reading the comics and I now see Michonne is completely different too. They decided to change the role of the annoying whore character from Michonne to Andrea. Knowing her as the stoic warrior character from the TV series prior, it's very weird to see her as she is in the comic (so far anyway, up to vol 23).

So who is taking over? If this keeps up, every season of The Walking Dead is going to feel like a different show.

Yea. It already feels that way. Though I've thoroughly enjoyed each and every season up til this point.

Though season 2 was a bit slow, it felt the best to me. Mainly because I thought the CDC part of season 1 was strange. Pacing was weird. And zombie Fight Club in season 3 is easily my least favorite part of the season. The introduction of less realistic characters like Michonne doesn't help. I like her more than most of my friends do, but she needs a weapon in addition to the katana. Katana alone would not get it done during a ZA, IMO.
