I am dying for other folks to give this a spin

I had a chance to play that Arcade Quake for about a month in 1998. I'm guessing this particular arcade was a test location. It was made by Lazer-Tron, more known for their video ticket redemption games. Played exactly like PC Quake, except certain enemies would drop "Insta-Prizes" which are known through the rest of their games as items that give you bonus tickets. The games themselves were timed so it was like a Play Choice 10 machine in that aspect.Hobie-wan wrote:Apparently a prototype Quake arcade cab was developed.

The control was a joystick for movement and a special paddle to rotate your guy. Pushing down on the paddle made you fire. I played the heck out of it at Sea World San Antonio one summer. Forgotten Worlds was also the first CPS game.mjmjr25 wrote:Not sure if there is another thread you are running since you only want track balls, but the game Forgotten Worlds used some odd fandangled setup of a weird stick and trackball or spinner, can't tell what it is:
