I just spent about 45 minutes playing Shuuz, a 1990 Atari game that is Trackball Horseshoes. It is as amazing as it sounds, and I didn't want to stop until I hit the top of the leaderboard!

I'VE ACTUALLY PLAYED THAT.

It was fun. It's been a long time though. I can't remember where I played it either.

I think this fits the bill:

Irritating Maze: Available on Neo Geo MVS, but requires a hard to find controller setup. Also ported to N64-JP and goes by the JP name of Denryu Iraira Bou iirc. Not very good on N64 as one would expect. The idea was taken to a different level on the GCN-JP game Kururin Squash.

Not sure if there is another thread you are running since you only want track balls, but the game Forgotten Worlds used some odd fandangled setup of a weird stick and trackball or spinner, can't tell what it is:

I had a chance to play that Arcade Quake for about a month in 1998. I'm guessing this particular arcade was a test location. It was made by Lazer-Tron, more known for their video ticket redemption games. Played exactly like PC Quake, except certain enemies would drop "Insta-Prizes" which are known through the rest of their games as items that give you bonus tickets. The games themselves were timed so it was like a Play Choice 10 machine in that aspect.

I really wish I could think of some trackball games not already mentioned. You see a machine like Global Arcade Classics that has a trackball but it plays games that originally used a spinner.

The control was a joystick for movement and a special paddle to rotate your guy. Pushing down on the paddle made you fire. I played the heck out of it at Sea World San Antonio one summer. Forgotten Worlds was also the first CPS game.

Here's one you may not have expected from me: Krazy Bowl. A pretty standard bowling game, but fast-paced and fun with good controls to boot. Last time I played, I played two-player with a friend and we got through two games in ten minutes.
