When I hooked it up to my Grandpas TV I didnt get any signal, and realized that his TV didnt support 1080p, so with the magic of the controller, I was able to set the resolution back down to 720p. Me and my Wife immediately noticed a difference in Nintendo Land (the only game we played) It was not nearly as crisp as on my 42 inch 1080p TV (my Grandpas is like a 46). I didnt expect to notice a difference, but there it was in plain sight.
Ah geez, 720p on a 46" screen? What is that, like 32 pixels per inch?

I was starting to really dig into Nintendo Land last night ... I'm still pretty impressed with how good the game looks. In stuff like the Zelda attraction (I can't remember any of the names >_>) It looks pretty great.

Though ... just so people don't think I got rose-tinted-glasses on or something, I do have some beefs with the way Nintendo did some things on Wii U .... just not with the graphics :P

Not being able to use multiple applications is really bugging me. I could understand if there's some limit and the system actually says, like the 3DS, you'd need to close something to use this other one ... but it's kind of aggravating doing something on MiiVerse, then wanting to use the browser ... then when you try to go back to MiiVerse you realize when you launched the browser, the system closed it, so you have to go find what you were doing again.

They could fix it with a internal bookmarking position specifically when switching apps.

It'd also be nice if you open something, like again MiiVerse, if I press home and select MiiVerse again .... it should just go back to what I was doing, not re-launch MiiVerse. Nintnedo, come on! Make this a little less obtuse, it's very close to being great.

Monita: "How did you like that last attraction?"

Me: "Oh, the one where I had to hard power-off twice before I could get back into a game? Fan-f@#$ing-tastic"

But then we played for a bit and that was it. Two freezes - one in the beginning of Luigi and one right back in Nintendo Land again in the main area. Hopefully that's the extent of that.

I definitely wont buy one. Nintendo really got my blood boiling with the wii. It was my primary console last gen. It was just so nice only having 3-4 good games to play a year-_-. Ill wait at least 2 years to pick one up. Besides the launch titles are mostly ports. I would have considered getting one if pikmin 3 was released at launch but nope. Plus I don't want to play another 2d Mario game. They have beaten the horse to death at this point. Rayman legends looks nice. Also how in gods name are they going to offer a 32gb console for 350$ .. seriously? I understand that you can use an external hard drive but he point is I shouldn't have to. Also its moronic that I still cant watch a Dvd in a console in 2012. Man this generation of gaming is going to lick bawlls.

Why would you want to add wear on a console playing DVDs when you can pick up a DVD player for couch and car change?

Yeah, I don't know about everyone else, but around here the DVD player is quickly going the way of the VCR. I find at least one or two a week in the thrift stores I frequent, and all of them are around $10, less if you catch them on sale day.

Haha wow, what next? Why can't I toast bread in my PS3... Wah wah, this generation sucks.

What nobody seems to be focusing on is that this is 360 beating graphics fidelity which uses less than 40w of power. Does nobody else think that that is absolutely fucking insane performance? It's more expensive to run a lightbulb...

I thought he liked the PS3 but thought Sony's BS was going too far.

And yeah, Nintendo's power efficiency with this console is really quite impressive.

I haven't touched anything Sony since they fucked me over by crippling MY hardware. It helps that the Vita is an absolute fucking joke and that there's been next to nothing worth playing on the PS3 for about 2 years now. Handy. Still haven't gotten round to getting a bluray player. Probably never will at this rate. Looks like digital media really is going the way of the dodo. Most of my tv/film viewing is done on streaming services now. I very rarely watch DVDs now.

Sony's finances are in the toilet... Won't be long until they've gone now. :)
