Ah geez, 720p on a 46" screen? What is that, like 32 pixels per inch?jay_red wrote:I wanted to comment on what people were talking about the resolution thing with the Wii U. I took mine over to my Grandpas yesterday for Thanksgiving to have all my cousins play. When I hooked it up to my Grandpas TV I didnt get any signal, and realized that his TV didnt support 1080p, so with the magic of the controller, I was able to set the resolution back down to 720p. Me and my Wife immediately noticed a difference in Nintendo Land (the only game we played) It was not nearly as crisp as on my 42 inch 1080p TV (my Grandpas is like a 46). I didnt expect to notice a difference, but there it was in plain sight.
I was starting to really dig into Nintendo Land last night ... I'm still pretty impressed with how good the game looks. In stuff like the Zelda attraction (I can't remember any of the names >_>) It looks pretty great.
Though ... just so people don't think I got rose-tinted-glasses on or something, I do have some beefs with the way Nintendo did some things on Wii U .... just not with the graphics
Not being able to use multiple applications is really bugging me. I could understand if there's some limit and the system actually says, like the 3DS, you'd need to close something to use this other one ... but it's kind of aggravating doing something on MiiVerse, then wanting to use the browser ... then when you try to go back to MiiVerse you realize when you launched the browser, the system closed it, so you have to go find what you were doing again.
They could fix it with a internal bookmarking position specifically when switching apps.
It'd also be nice if you open something, like again MiiVerse, if I press home and select MiiVerse again .... it should just go back to what I was doing, not re-launch MiiVerse. Nintnedo, come on! Make this a little less obtuse, it's very close to being great.
