^ I'm surprised your Best Buy had a replacement - that worked out pretty well for you all things considered.

I've had one freeze up so far but I can't remember what I was doing. I thought I had a second but just waiting a minute fixed it.

I did find a dead pixel today that I didn't notice before. It is tiny and unnoticeable unless I search it out though so I think I am going to leave well enough alone.

This all makes me really glad I decided to hold off on picking up a Wii U.
Sorta puts the final nail in the "built Nintendo strong" coffin, eh?

Sorry to hear about everyone's troubles. Hope Nintendo patches things soon.

Don't worry, this is just launch headaches. OS is clearly not very good, tons of people are criticizing it so Nintendo will make many improvements over the next few years just like Microsoft did with 360.

Man, I haven't had any of these issues.

I'm kinda paranoid about jumping into Nintendo Land now, though :P

Nintendoland hasn't given me any problems. My freeze was during Sonic racing I'm pretty sure so I think it is just random and not caused by a particular game.

The OS seems fine to me. People just like to whine "Oh man I have to wait 10 whole seconds to boot to an app? God what is this!"

But yeah patches will come either way, nothing is ever perfect.

I'm thinking about timing how long it takes my PS3 to go in and out of applications or to go back to the system menu ... I agree that the menu on Wii U feels like it takes too long ... but this might be something we've been accepting for 6 years+ already, but it's more noticeable now because of presentation.

I think I'll do that tomorrow. Kinda curious now.

I also agree the OS isn't bad at all. The load times are just a lot slower than you'd really want. But I imagine it'll be changed. We're only three days in, afterall.

PS3 loading is ungodly painful; don't even get me started on downloads. :x What we have from Nintendo is the final launch day product. Unlike the Wii, I expect them to patch up the Wii U quirks fairly soon.
