Doc's post said it better than I likely would have - very thorough. The only thing I can add is that there is a chance your profile could be corrupt. You may want to delete it then recover it. There should be no issues with performing that task(I've done it), but the standard "I take no responsibiity if it fucks up" applies.

Re: What I hate most about 360s
I have a love/hate feeling toward all the online functionality of these newest consoles. The 360 has always worked well for me, as far as downloading, signing in and all that. But I really don't play online too much and it stinks to have to pay for the few times I do.
I got a PS3 recently and it's totally jacked up as far as online!! Took me forever to get my wifi working, and my downloads are slow as hell. We're talking an hour or more to DL 1 gig demos. Takes about 5 to 10 minues via XBL. I plugged in an ethernet cable and the speeds are only marginally better. And I keep getting booted off PSN like every 15 or 20 minutes.
Also, it seems there are some games on PSN that just don't have demos. I can't seem to find a demo of Everyday Shooter or Flow.

I don't have a PS3 yet, but that's definitely a point my good friend loves about Xbox. Demo for every arcade title. Pretty much the only ones you get on PS3 are for those games that are available on both systems...they already had to do the demo for 360, so of course they put it on PS3 as well.

The lack of Demos on PSN is annoying. I think it's slowly getting better, just like the rest of PSN.

When you said "slowly" -- that really describes PSN!

It really is getting better in small increments. I've had mine less than a year and all the little firmware updates have actually added a lot to the experience. The Playstation Store redesign is nice, too.RadarScope1 wrote:When you said "slowly" -- that really describes PSN!

Yeah, I tried everything he said and yes, I actually did manage to play without being online. Nice to know I can do that. So thanks to you, Doc and everyone else. So easy to get help here, unlike some other forums I've been tooZenLogikos wrote:Doc's post said it better than I likely would have - very thorough.
