The SNES sucks and you suck for liking it. Nintendo<Sega
Re: The SNES sucks and you suck for liking it. Nintendo<Sega
+1 for the SNES controller being very comfortable and overall pretty great. However, I have no beef with the 3-button Mega Drive one, which I feel is a great controller in its own right.

Oh no you didn't! How dare you criticize the SNES. You just messed with the wrong Nintendo fan-boy. In all seriousness though, I know you have your legs around this site so it is useless telling you the big name titles. You clearly have no interest, somehow, in masterpieces like Super Mario World so let's get more obscure.
Twisted Tales of Spike McFang - A clever, funny, and colorful Zelda clone with great sprites and a lot of humor. Gameplay is decent, but mainly play this game for the experience.
E.V.O. Search for Eden - An expensive game but if you got it it would definitely be a gem in your collection. This game takes you through prehistoric times as you evolve into different and more advanced species. The game is a 2D action-RPG with a ton of grinding and re-playability. The combat feels like a regular 2D action game so you will forget you are even playing a RPG. Every evolutionary choice you make effects your character, and there are a ton. A lot of gameplay packed into this game. I personally played it on an emulator though because it is very expensive.
If those two games can't get you liking the SNES I don't know what can.

I simply do not find SMW or later Marios to be interesting compared to any other well made platformers. Nintendo reminds me of Disney in that regard.pankakes123 wrote:You clearly have no interest, somehow, in masterpieces like Super Mario World so let's get more obscure.
I'm not interested in most Zelda clones but the art direction is indeed very nice. I might give it a whirl when I get my handheld.Twisted Tales of Spike McFang - A clever, funny, and colorful Zelda clone with great sprites and a lot of humor. Must be the grindiest JRPG I have ever played. Move towards an enemy, press A to get bigger numbers, use numbers to press A on tougher enemies. Not interested at all.E.V.O. Search for Eden
BTW, I'm considering Super Ghouls'n Ghosts because it's the best/easier GnG game. Which means it's still way to hard for me, so yeah...

It's got a lot of slowdown, and it takes away the upward/downward attacking. It's a really good game and all, but yeah those work against it.General_Norris wrote: BTW, I'm considering Super Ghouls'n Ghosts because it's the best/easier GnG game. Which means it's still way to hard for me, so yeah...

Ha! I ended up playing the arcade Ghouls'n Ghosts and loving it. As you say, the upward/downward attacks add a lot the game.AppleQueso wrote:It's got a lot of slowdown, and it takes away the upward/downward attacking.
