yeah I mean, Oneechanbara and Earth Defense Force have multiple entries, but I wouldn't call either "popular."JC48573 wrote:enough to survive in the industry with a low budget titles.dsheinem wrote:if it is a series and not a single game, it likely already has a reasonable/profitable degree of popularity

Seriously. Screw you Shao Kahn I'm gonna play Animal Crossing.
I love the Tenchu games. That grappling hook is one of the coolest game mechanics I've seen from games of that era. It's so much fun grappling around rooftops and trees then dropping down onto your kill.Gamerforlife wrote:Dynasty Warriors. I was into that series for a while. It gets critically maligned in the west, though popular in the east. I loved the Sly Cooper series back during the PS2 era, even though Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank got all the attention and were always more successful. I loved the Tecmo Deception series, don't think they ever really caught on though. I was a fan of MDK and MDK 2. People rarely talk about those games. The Tenchu series has enjoyed some popularity, but never rose about being sort of cult hit series ever in the shadow of major hit stealth games like Spliner Cell, Metal Gear Solid, Hitman, etc. but I've always loved them and feel that they have been reborn in 2D with Mark of the Ninja. I'm also a big fan of the Dishwasher Samurai games which have been largely overshadowed by the likes of Castle Crashers, Scott Pilgrim and the Shank games. I've always enjoyed Buffy the Vampire Slayer and BtVS Chaos Bleeds on the Xbox, though Chaos Bleeds wasn't nearly as good as the first game. I've sort of picked Lollipop Chainsaw as the closest thing I can get to a new Buffy game. It got some mixed reviews but I enjoyed it a lot
