I saw a thread over at neogaf where you can get this for $29.99 ($10 off) from newegg.com using the promotion code EMCYTZT2452. Looks like someone was successful in getting Amazon to price match.

The promotion expires on Nov 1 so you have 2 days to get this price.

Since this is the first time I have ever pre-ordered a game, I had no idea you could do this. Do I literally just walk into gamestop on the 11th and ask for 10 bucks back?

You might be out of luck with Gamestop unless they offer a price guarantee. Amazon does which is how I was able to get the refund.

The problem is that the promotion from NewEgg expired yesterday so you're out of luck. I probably would have canceled the Gamestop pre-order and then ordered it from NewEgg.

Did you have to put money down with Gamestop? Are you able to cancel the pre-order and get your money back? I'm just asking these questions to understand their policy.

You have to put at least a $5 deposit on pre-orders and they do give you a refund if you change your mind (though, you may have to go through some marketing spiel to do it.)

I am satisfied with what I paid anyway. 40 bucks for a game I have been looking forward to since 2004 is good enough for me.
