Wait, didn't they not start using the always-on clock thing until Gold and Silver?

Red definitely doesn't have a clock. If you've got a cart open for cleaning the pins or are looking at the inner board online, if there's a little aluminum can on the board, that's the oscillator crystal for a clock.

If you haven't yet, be sure to drop by A Gamer's Paradise (next to the Pinball Hall of Fame), and Wii Play Games (Nellis and.. DI I think?). Both have a strong selection and reasonable prices.
Gamers Paradise on Nellis near Lake Mead.

Only other place I have been to is Gameworld on Charleston. Then have a good selection of games, but A LOT of what they have looks ratty and the stickers on all of them are pretty damn tattered. On top of being overpriced (notable example $250 for Shantae--'boxed', not in original plastic, missing a couple things and the box is dinged to hell).

I've been to the one by the Pinball Hall of Fame once before I left for Afghanistan, but it's way the hell of of the way for me. But it sounds like I need to give them another go.

And there's another place that's way out like 215 and Lake Mead I think. Right by a Capriottis. Good selection of stuff, I just didn't find any games I wanted--again, before I left for Afghanistan.

Hmm, I haven't been to the store on 215 and Lake Mead, if you remember the name, give me a heads up.

Definitely check out Wii Play Games. Sounds like it's more in your area, and the selection there is great.

As a kid I LOVED bomberman GB! That game uses passwords. I would reccomend Super mario Land 2(Another one of my favorites as a kid) even though it uses a battery to save because it is such a charming game and is pretty short. Also pick up pokemon pinball, that game is incredibly fun!
