If you ever have the chance at seeing in a theater, jump at it. I've always adored BEETLEJUICE, but seeing the visuals on a bib screen really makes the visuals pop. Even more than Burton's BATMAN.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Agreed. Bettlejuice is tied with Edward Scissorhands as my favorite Tim Burton film, and the waiting room in that movie is priceless.Luke wrote: BEETLEJUICE
Timeless. Perfect. Movie Gold.
BEETLEJUICE and PEE-WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE are probably a toss up of my favorite Burton movies. I like EDWARD, but it's too emotional for me. Hat's off to Burton as that was what he set out to do, but as I'm a guy with one hand the film hits a little too close to home for me. Not the shrub and hair cutting scenes; I'm awful at trimming my own hedges and my sideburns are never even, but there are a few scenes including the one where an old man calls Edward a "cripple" that sting a bit.
That said, Depp is incredible in EDWARD. The waterbed scene will be forever etched into my mind, and a perfect film for Vincent Price to make his last performance. Great film, but it makes me uncomfortable.
