Exactly. I'm not holding my breath on a proper HD release. Like Hobie mentioned, Star Wars is pretty well dead to from Ep. 1 on.AppleQueso wrote:laserdiscs aren't hd, d00d
(those are about the best official versions of the original trilogy you can actually get nowadays though... kinda sad really)

A friend sent me this yesterday and it makes the new trilogy infinitely more enjoyable:

It is a webcomic that takes screengrabs and writes it like its a group of guys playing an RPG.

Star Wars VII is probably going to be like the JJ Abrams Star Trek in the sense that it will be an alright film but the fans will never accept the changes.

I prefer my Star Wars stay non constant lens flare.Gunstar Green wrote:Star Wars VII is probably going to be like the JJ Abrams Star Trek in the sense that it will be an alright film but the fans will never accept the changes.

tbqh I'd totally be on board with a JJ Abrams directed Star Wars VII. I quite enjoyed Star Trek 2009 for what it was, crazy lens flares and absurdly convenient scenarios and all.

Hells no. No no no. Fuck no. Star Wars already tried style over substance and being super annoying with I, II, and III.AppleQueso wrote:

Maybe Disney can arm-bar EA into releasing the rights to Battlefront 3.

Try watching the latest Star Trek movie with the sound off, subtitles only. If you can do that for fifteen minutes you're a much more patient man than I am. Not saying STAR TREK is bad, just saying that without distractions of dialogue the look of the movie is as annoying as Jar Jar. Meesa really a thinx so.AppleQueso wrote:
I'd say it's a pretty massive stretch to claim that it's anywhere near as annoying as the prequel trilogy

Okay, if we're just talking about the visual look I'll concede. That lens flare is absolutely ridiculous.Luke wrote:Try watching the latest Star Trek movie with the sound off, subtitles only.
