I also prefer chiclet keys. So I just use the built in keyboard on my MBP. I also prefer to use the trackpad when not gaming. When I am gaming I use a Razer Naga.

The mouse has adjustable LED's so they match the keyboards color.

I have a black with red lights theme on my PC. Everything in my PC is black and red. My case is black with red LED fans, my CPU cooler has red LEDs, my headphones are black and red and my graphics cards are black and red.

I'm using a $10 Logitech laser mouse along with a keyboard that came with the $500 Compaq I got 5 years ago. They work perfectly fine for me, although the keyboard could stand a cleaning.

Using a laser mouse is a new thing for me. I was using a ball mouse that came with a mini HP Windows 98 machine until a few months ago. I only switched because my new PC only has one of those PS/2 ports on the back, and I was more unwilling to switch keyboards than mice.

On both of my gaming PCS I use a super highend Dell OEM keyboard:

And oldstyle Logitech M100s:

Aswell as Logitech TrackMans:

In college we gamed on those Dell keyboards for an untold number of hours so I got really use to them (they arent bad keyboards either, but very basic). The mouse was chosen because it is ambidexterous. I wish it had a mouse 3 button on the side where your thumb sits, but other than that it is perfect for us. The trackball is the best of the easily found/affordable in my opinion. We mostly use them for ARPGs and occasionally for simulators.

If money wasnt an issue, Id upgrade it all - mechanical switch gaming keyboards and some sort of highend laser mice. But this setup works perfectly fine for us.

Adesso 135b mechanical keyboard (Cherry blue switches, very nice) and a Logitech G400 mouse. Simple and well built. Love both of them to death.

On a related note, I use an old Everglide Cyborg gaming mouse mat that I bought at Quake Con in 2004. It still works great, but it is definitely showing wear after 8 years. Wish I could find another one as I really like how thin it is and how nicely my mouse slides across it.

That laptop keyboards looks absolutely fucking awful to type on. Looks almost like a rubber chiclet keyboard. *shudder*
Looks like, but is not. They are hard plastic chiclets, not those horrible rubber things. They spring back to position instantly and are very easy to press. It is the best keyboard I've ever used. The feel is great.

What sucks about it is the touchpad, which is oddly located left of center, so the base of your hand is always accidentally moving and clicking the mouse when you type. I have to turn off the touchpad so that I don't accidentally click on things or move them.

Apple Wireless Keyboard (the original plastic one) and Kensington Expert Mouse. It may not be the best combo for gaming, but switching from a mouse to a trackball several years ago dramatically decreased the wrist pain I was having.

I use iBuyPower brand mouse and keyboard. Though my PC is a gaming PC the mouse and keyboard aren't exactly "optimized" for gaming - they're completely standard. I've never had to urge to upgrade to anything fancier. I mostly play WRPGs on the PC and seem to be doing okay.
