I couldn't agree with you more there Racket. I'm currently all wrapped up in N+.racketboy wrote:I couldn't live without my DSPullmyfinger wrote:I had a wii but got bored with it, I used to own a DS and traded it for a PSP, I'll probabley get another DS soon though

I had a Wii60 combo but decided to sell my 360 a few months ago. I'm contemplating selling my Wii as well, but there are two good reasons that are stopping me:
1. My small collection of enjoyable games: Zack and Wiki, Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros., Super Paper Mario, Monkey Ball: BB. Oh and I want to get Blast Works and Metroid Prime 3.
2 The promise of future. The release schedule looks a bit sparse at the moment, but I bet I'll regret selling it in 2-3 years.
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with this generation of home consoles, though the Wii probably comes the closest to filling my needs. And then there are the prices, which just seem ridiculous, especially considering the quality of these games (or lack thereof). I'll probably just do the budget gamer thing and pick up most games six month after release, etc.

Wii and 360
The Wii has 2 games played on it, Smash Bros and Pikmin... and the Smash Bros isn't even by me.
The 360 gets the most love. It is hooked up to the network for my Media Center Extender, it plays my movies with the HD-DVD player add on, I love the XBLA games... no more having to dig through my closet for ikaruga or Rez and staying strapped to my Dreamcast with a wired controller, and my flatmate loves the online gaming with FPS games.
If you watch my little siggy you probably notice the games I play on my 360:
Halo3 & Gears of War - my flatmate gaming online
Braid, Ecco, SpaceGiraffe, Rez, Ikaruga, etc - that's me
you know what bugs me though, to fully whoop Ikaruga or Rez's ass scores you a crappy 200 gamer points. But completely beating something like Oblivion gets you 2000 points. Though I will tell you, beating Oblivion is a cake walk, getting every last achievement in Ikaruga, Rez or SpaceGiraffe is like inventing a perpetual motion engine... it just can't be done! You should get a bajillion points for that God damn it!

I have a 360. I'm considering getting a PS 3 or a Wii. The Wii has those cool light gun games, promise of another Pikmin game and a ton of classics on the virtual console. The PS 3 has some games I'm interested in like Folklore, Disgaea 3 and the Ratchet & Clank game.
I probably won't get either though as I'm planning on spending my money this holiday on getting a new tv and finally get away from standard television into HD land. I want a good one though, since the first HD tv I bought stopped working after a month. It'll be interesting finally seeing some of these 360 games of mine in HD after I've already completed them
