I've always had a love to refine my skills on HyperZone (SNES). At certain point levels, you get an extra life, but you also get a new ship on the next level to go along with it. I'm always trying to score enough points on Areas 1-6 to get every single upgrade without having to have an earlier ship on the same level. I've memorized every point-grabbing opportunity on those first few levels to make it possible every time.

I played it a few weeks ago and got over 300K. It's possible if you take risks.

I've played around 900 hours of Company of Heroes, which I'm pretty sure is a personal record. An amazing one at that.

Now you got me thinking.

Oh NES, how I know you are the best.
I would never fail a test, so we can play our cartridges to death.
You made my daddy really mad, for all the money he wished he had.

Like the tune you did not hear, Sonys touch you did not fear.
Living like its yester year, its my life I love because of you my dear.

It's always the same,
Stop flickering and play my game,

I replaced your pin connector,
And cleaned your cartridges with an eraser,

Sometimes I just don't get it,
I pamper you and still you treat me like shit,

You know what? Fuck you,
I can play my Dreamcast too.

Love the poetry you guys.

I actually wrote a similar sort of "rap" about my gaming roots sometime last year. It's even supposed to be set to a specific chiptune. The chorus is even meant to be sung.

And I feel like everyone should be embarrassed for me.
