Internt speeds, does it affect browsing?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

At home we have a 4meg down 256k up DSL connection, at work I have a 5gig up and down connection. The old office had a 10gig connection, granted the main telcohotel for the southeast USA was down the street from us. Sadly our security policies makes it more like a 50meg connection.
