My hosts file, which worked fine on my old PC does not work on the new one...
Old PC: 32bit Vista / Avast! Antivirus
New PC: 64bit Windows 7 / Microsoft Security Essentials
This is the hosts file I use: http://someonewhocares.org/hosts/
Any help would be appreciated... ^^

Re: Hosts File not working...
Done!...
- Uninstalled MSE and installed Avast! again.
- Used CCleaner's junk files cleaner and registry fixer.
- Restarted PC.
Seems to do the job... ^^

CCleaner's the best and was probably what fixed it. I use the MVP Hosts file at winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htmelmagicochrisg wrote:Done!...

Yup, CCleaner is always one of the first programs I download after a fresh OS install... ^^ExedExes wrote:CCleaner's the best and was probably what fixed it. I use the MVP Hosts file at winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm

If you hadn't yet rebooted after dropping in the custom hosts file, that might have been it too.
