That movie is very odd, but I did find it quite enjoyable...Anyway, my wife and I have been busy/sick with the flu; so, we were thrown off of our schedule a little bit. That said, we did watch two more horror movies recently:mister j-y wrote:Oh, and "Rubber" which was a silly idea but extremely enjoyable!
The Wolf Man (1941) - This is the last classic Universal horror movie on my list, and I am glad to cross it off. It was an enjoyable film, but it is not my favorite of the classic Universal horror films. That said, Bela Lugosi has a fun cameo, and the sets are great. Moreover, the whole thing is only 69 minutes long; so, I recommend it if you are looking for a fun diversion. If you are not a fan of Universal horror, however, I would not go out of your way to watch it. (My personal ranking of classic Universal horror films: 1. The Mummy; 2. Bride of Frankenstein; 3. The Creature from the Black Lagoon; 4. The Invisible Man; 5. Frankenstein; 6. Dracula; 7. The Wolf Man.)
The Legend of Hell House (1973) - This is a very enjoyable haunted house film that get going very quickly and never lets up until the very end. It is still quite scary despite its age, and my wife an I enjoyed it thoroughly. It is definitely in the upper echelon of "haunted house" movies along side The Haunting and The Changeling, and well above the execrable Amityville Horror. The ending - while shocking - does not make much sense (but might do better if you read the book that inspired the film). This one, like The Wolf Man, is available for streaming; so, I highly recommend it if you have Netflix.
