This. I really like adventure time but flap jack was absolutely amazing. I really need to find a torrent for the complete series since it was never released on DVD. Well they released half of the first season on VHS I think and it didn't sell so they never released any more.benderx wrote:I loved The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack more fun.

I feel like in the past few years Cartoon Network has entered a renaissance of animation. A couple of years ago they had Flapjack and Chowder, now they've got Adventure Time and Regular Show. I love it! It reminds me of the early days of Nickelodeon.
I also really dig CN's MAD show. I think it successfully captures the humor and attitude of the original magazine.

AT is my favorite cartoon on TV right now. You can add me to the group that preferred Flapjack, but it's still awesome. Regular Show is good stuff too, although it's a "quieter" show.

Re: Anyone watch "Adventure Time"?
I like Adventure Time a lot, especially when it takes short breaks from the manic stuff to hint at the nuclear apocalypse that caused the world to become what it was, as well as the depressing origins of the Ice King. It can get pretty dark for such a colorful and spastic show.
I like Regular Show even more. It's really aimed at an 80's-90's audience even more so than it's aimed at kids and like Adventure time there's loads of "under the radar" humor that also reminds me of 90's Nickelodeon. I love that a Sega Master System makes regular appearances.

I loved the original short, but the show has gone alittle weird for my taste, couple that with the fiance not enjoying it... That said, Flapjack and Class of 3000 sadly did not get the love they deserved.

I love it! Itgot weirdly depressing and deep while funny last night.
Also, in regular show there is a Sam and Max season 1 reference (made by the current company) in the episode where they hack Margret's phone. In episode 5 (of the episodic sam and max games) in the virtual reality 2.0 place with the arcade machine and the others who are the creators of the virtual reality, when mordo and rigs go in the phone its the same type of thing but with communications= items.

That was only like 5 years ago.
Billy and Mandy was also pretty awful outside of a few of the early episodes.
