Anyone watch "Adventure Time"?

Post by REPO Man »

It's about a 12-year-old sword-wielding adventurer named Finn who fights wickedness and help people in the Land of Ooo (I love the way that rolls from my mouth) alongside Jake, a talking dog who can change shape.

As a gamer, it's a fun show that kinda gives nods to classic gaming (like the GameBoy-esque Beemo, the copious chiptunes, and the fact that Finn kinda has a Link vibe to him).

And it's so quotable.

"Barf that!"
"He's got poo brain!"
"Schmow-zow!" (sic?)
"I'll slay anything that's evil. That's my deal."

So... 50 views and no responses? I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure that on a message board, when someone posts a new topic, someone else is expected to reply.

Oh, crap.

I just noticed that this isn't even in the right section.

It's supposed to be in "Off-Topic/Whatever".

I love Adventure Time! Only reason I watch tv nowadays. Also, Regular show (which comes on after AT) is enjoyable too. Glad someone else on here watches Adventure Time

I loved The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack more fun.

I have heard good things about Adventure Time. It seems like children's animation is getting better these days; shows like Regular Show, the shockingly good My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Don't laugh!), and a couple other shows whose names don't come to mind immediately are good enough for teens and adults to enjoy.

So I feel like I have to bump this thread because Adventure Time has become ridiculously good of late. Tonight's episode about Marceline and the Ice King was AMAZING. And then there are other fun diversions like "BMO Noire."
I also love the comic books which I highly recommend to any fans of the show.

I'm looking forward to the DS game coming out in November. I pre-ordered the limited edition which comes in a case that looks like The Enchiridion, a stylus like Finn's sword, and some kind of Adventure Time Monster Manual. The game itself looks a lot like Zelda II and I'm really hoping that it does the show justice and isn't just a disposable license-game.

Adventure Time is such a great concept. I love how it basically takes the concept of "it's an ADD 13 year-old's D&D game" but then totally rolls with it in such interesting ways. I can't get enough!

And I can't wait to see what's going to happen with Jake/Lady Rainicorn's children.
