If Dishonored (provided it wont turn out to be a colossal failure) is a 20 dollar game to you then what qualifies as a 60 dollar game to you?BoneSnapDeez wrote:Looks like the perfect "wait until it's $19.99" game for me.

It does look interesting, but I'll wait til it gets in the 30 dollar range.

Re: Dishonored
Watched gameplay, and yeah, I don't know that I'd fork over $60 for it. It looks neat for sure, but, I'm not in any rush. I have XCOM to play tomorrow.
I think I'll enjoy it more than some other people though, simply based on the fact that I never got on the hype train like my friends did for Dishonored. I barely read anything about it, and still haven't. I watched the leaked video TotalBiscuit put out last night and it looked fun and decent enough. The comments were filled with people complaining about it though.(Yeah yeah, YouTube comments. Herpderp and all that jazz)

Well that's how video games work you know? Things just need murdering. Whoever murders the most people is usually the protagonist and hero.

Makes me think of Thief the most I'd say. But either way, these, System Shock 2, basically my favorite style of FPS's ever. So yeah I can't wait to get this. It might sound short, but it sounds very flexible too with some good replay value, going through levels in entirely different ways... sounds amazing.MrPopo wrote:This game gets my Deus Ex sense tingling.

Re: Dishonored
I am pretty excited for it, going to play it off gamefly after Borderlands 2.

So just like those others games mentioned... might not be the longest, but Dishonored could very well be something that's super easy to go back to for a new experience and new discoveries every time! Long lasting replayability > length.

Re: Dishonored
If Dishonored indeed is like Thief, then it wont be a short game. The levels in Thief games are huge, nonlinear and there's no hand holding what so ever so it will take a lot of time to learn different guard routes, what to do, where to go and so on.Xeogred wrote: So just like those others games mentioned... might not be the longest, but Dishonored could very well be something that's super easy to go back to for a new experience and new discoveries every time! Thief and Deus Ex are the two games which this game tries to be (and they openly admit it), it's the same thing as they did with Arx Fatalis and Ultima Underworld. I made a thread about Harvey Smith's interview of ex-Looking Glass members in Quakecon 2012. He talks extensively about the design philosophy behind Dishonored in that video.Xeogred wrote:Makes me think of Thief the most I'd say.MrPopo wrote:This game gets my Deus Ex sense tingling.
