I can't take a beating without at least trying to explain myself so here goes:

Everyone has a "least favorite console", correct? Well, mine's the Genesis.

No, I haven't played every Genesis game ever, there are actually a couple of Genesis games I've enjoyed like Streets of Rage and uhh...um, yeah.

As far as Rocket Knight Adventures being totally awesome yo, I've seen videos on Youtube, looks cool I guess, but it's a Platformer and there are a billion of those. I'm not huge on 2D platformers other than the ones I grew up with, anything else is just of the same but different. That's just me. Maybe it's a closed-minded way to look at it but that's how I feel about it. I also feel that way about "shmups" and "fighters".

In my opinion most Genesis games that I've played just look like crap and are not impressive to me from a visual standpoint (not that I have to be "impressed" to like something, but you know what I mean). There are exceptions, such as Vectorman, which did have surprisingly decent graphics in my opinion. I didn't love the game itself but it's definitely one of the nicer looking Genesis games that I've played. I'm sure there are others that look amazing too, but honestly I don't care because I don't have much interest in the Genesis library in general.

General_Norris can't find more than two games he wants for the SNES? I can't fathom that because it has such a large and diverse library. Well, guess what, I can't find any Genesis games that interest me. It's the same idea, except I'm just viewed as another bully who likes to pick on the weak kid (so to speak).

So there you go.

Two words:

Comix Zone.

Between the Genesis and SNES, I spent much more time with Nintendo's product and have always loved it. I don't consider myself very knowledgeable of the Genesis' library, but there are a few games that I've enjoyed when I've gotten to play them. Of these, Comix Zone was one of the most awesome, and well worth it for any beat 'em up fan to at least try out.

Comix Zone is awesome, as well as everything by STI. They also did The Ooze, Kid Chameleon, Die Hard Arcade, Sonic Spinball, and Sonic and Knuckles (they also had a hand in Sonic 2, and Sonic 3, as well as Sonic Jam). They were working on a 3D The Ooze, and even had the algorithm for how ooze would act in a 3D environment, but ended up getting shut down. :(

If you like Nights into Dreams, Ristar was developed by Sonic Team as well and the same composer did the music. Needless to say, it's amazing.

Edit: Dammit. Gotta go play some Ristar now.

Take some time to play its classics before hating it. I recommend Super Metroid, Link to the Past, Star Fox, and Yoshi's Island. If you've already played those and still hate the SNES, then damn.

(the title is a joke, read later in the thread)

It's not a joke! Denounce this outrage, scarper! This is unacceptable!

Yeah, but it was the Japanese division that developed Sonic 3 and S&K. The US side just localized it. With Sonic 2, a large part of the JP dev team actually moved to America during the project. Comix Zone is cool, but it really isn't for everyone. The Ooze... meh. Kid Chameleon... okay. Die Hard Arcade... well, that was good. What else did they do? Well, they totally f'ed up Sonic on the Saturn to the point where it wasn't even released. Yes, politics and illness had a lot to do with it, but still, I have a hard time really rating them high at all unless you count the Japan team with them (which was really just a version of JP Sonic Team in all but name, was it not?).
