I also agree with burningdoom.

It came out December 1994, the same month as the Playstation.noiseredux wrote:King's Field wasn't a launch title... but it was still a good example of early graphics versus later ones.BurningDoom wrote: Okay, I could have. a "launch game" is one available the same day as the console is released.BurningDoom wrote:It came out December 1994, the same month as the Playstation.noiseredux wrote:King's Field wasn't a launch title... but it was still a good example of early graphics versus later ones.BurningDoom wrote: Okay, I could have. Judging by the Wii's spec, it's pretty hard to improve upon current consoles and retain a reasonable entry point. Sony are absolutely bonkers they might adopt the razor blade model for their next Playstation, but they're already losing tons of capital so it wouldn't make any business sense. The PS3 proved the futility of Sony's engineering ideology.
Nothing that drastic; it can be feasible to introduce a peculiar architecture without gambling with your foothold in the market, but I doubt Sony will go overboard since it makes zero business sense.D.D.D. wrote:Go big or go home mentality??Pulsar_t wrote:One thing that hasn't been discussed here is that the market could use the hyperbole surrounding the launch of new machines, and the ingress of money that could potentially encourage publishers to take risks and become ambitious.
