Video Game Price Chart Site
Re: Video Game Price Chart Site
I know VGPC just averages the big three online and Gamestop. Don't get me wrong, It is an adequate tool, just not the final determination for a frugal (cheap) shopper like me. As for the MSRP question, that is not accurate at times either. New copies of Metroid Other M for example went down to five bucks then back to regular $49.99 MSRP more then once at a major retailer. Take a guess when I bought my new copy and this was not part of the daily average listed in VGPC.

Dude, it's just a rough starting point if you don't want to spend an entire day researching a title before purchasing. It isn't, and probably never will be an up to the minute picture. Nothing will ever be perfect. It is better for old stuff that's not new on the market anymore of course. You knock people for ragging on things without providing a better idea. What's your better idea besides spending hours and hours searching craigslist in random cities and other selling services besides the ones VGPC searches?
Saying 'most gamers' invest in the paid GS reward card that gets them 10% or whatever off is likely an overstatement.

Re: Video Game Price Chart Site
OP updated. I use those 3 sites rather extensively, and they might not be the best for all people in all situations, but I did get a killer deal on a Gamecube game from an Amazon Marketplace seller not too long ago. Just knowing when & where to look is most important.
Thanks for your opinions all!
If this was in fact already posted (something even I can get pretty fussy about), please lock/delete/move whatever, moderators. I've only been here less than a year and would rather not search through years of posts, but even if it just was like a virtual bump to a long-dead thread somewhere in the depths of these forums, I've done my jobBoringSupreez wrote:We've had this thread several times (I've made it myself before, in fact), so you can expect it to be locked or merged I would imagine. But yes, the site is a very useful and interesting resource. I've been a frequent user for years now.
