Im just not going to pay for cable to have crappy service with commercials.
I would love to pay for HBOGo access, but they're dicks and won't let you on HBOGo without an actual subscription through your already overpriced/underquality cable service.
And I'm not going to pay a cable company just to be able to pay the cable company again for one channel, no matter how good your Sunday programming is. Let me buy it a-la-carte, and we're in business.
But dont worry, if they're not into it, there's always the internet.
Translation = I want to watch TV shows that are readily available on the market but because I can't get them exactly the way I want, I'm going to cheat and watch them anyway instead of doing without or waiting for them to come out on DVD or BD so I can watch them at my leisure as many times as I want with less hassle.

But, the point about medical care, lets try this.
I am diabetic, bad, bad diabetic. I am losing vision among other things. I am slowly dying. I pancreas transplant would save my life. I would live longer but I will never even harbor hope of this. Others with the money and means get them all the time, do they deserve it more than I because the are more wealthy than I? Sans the poor guy who died of course. I would rather he had been able to use it and not die.
I work very hard for those things as I am sure you do. 6 days, ten hrs week after week. I put in a lot more hours than a hell of a lot of people. My life is passing me by and my time is drawing near. But alas, I am not entitled to have arcade cabinets or complete sets of every system. I worked extremely hard for those and that is all I would ever ask from anybody rich or poor. If the pirated people would simply reduce cost to the same people who work hard but have less then they could eliminate most piracy.
It is all greed man........ It is just not right, not right to pay a hard working person 7 bucks an hour then expect him to shell out 20 for a movie or 2 dollars a song so he can have the same enjoyment as I.
Just think if people were not so greedy how this world would be. If people would work to save lives for the mere pleasure of it. If people would make a movie for everyone to see just to know they made people happy. Charging a small amount to give them a comfortable life style and pay for the movie. It wouldnt cost 12 bucks to see LOL.

Oh by the way, posting my stuff was not for the ooh and ahh effect. I wanted to share them truly. Read one of my threads, I think I say something to this effect. I love seeing everyone elses work and collections. I feel they are sharing it, not trying to get me to envy them.
This is a gaming community is it not. But if you dont believe then please by all means delete those threads as I would feel wrong otherwise. Or if you want me to I will just to prove my point. See I just got blasted for sharing, this is after all what life is about.
As for sharing, I invite anyone on this thread over to my house to share in gaming with me. My games are here to enjoy, for anyone, I am just the caretaker.
and.........that all folks.......by the way, I like Max Payne 3 and as soon as I am done with it I am gonna loan it to some people who cannot afford it.

Well of course greed is bad and no sane person wants another good person to suffer bad health. That truly sucks that you are unable to get your situation remedied as much as feasible.

Been a while since I read the actual text with the pictures. Your statement about ooh and aah came off to me as incongruous with having a collection thread. I enjoy looking at people's collections too as long as there isn't an air of being better than others. There are only 2 people with posted collections I can think of that come across that way either because of the speech they used in their posts (one rarely posted and hasn't in a while), or their lack of posts other than in their picture thread. You aren't one of them that puts me off.

Let me educate you on supply and demand. Specifically demand. The demand for this entertainment is high enough that people are willing to pay the prices specified, even though they are receiving the wages you mentioned. If enough people stopped and said "No, this is too much" then prices would fall. But again, these are luxuries. If it were necessities and companies were artificially raising prices you better believe that hell would be raised and the prices would come back down to reasonable levels.
I torrent all my TV shows unless i can watch it "On Demand" i have Charter and it's nice to beable to watch stuff without having to DVR it.
Never new what Usenet was until i see it in this thread, going to have to check it out...

So once again the haves have and the have not get nothing. Supply, demand, prices are set where they will generate the most profit on the smallest run. Simple financial outlook. Prices are not and will not be set so profit can be made and everyone can afford it. It exist but not here. China and other countries it does to an extent. Henry Ford did it, so did some others. Prices are set where profit is maximized not with what the entire market will bear. A company would rather sell one a ten thousand dollars profit than sell ten thousand at one dollar profit each. Simple economics my friend. The market does little to bear prices, there is a lot more to it than that.

I never said the entire market. I agree fully, it's all about maximizing profit. Like I said, ENOUGH people think it's worthwhile at price X for profit to be maximized. What I don't understand is why you think everyone should get everything.
