Demonoid Gone
Re: Demonoid Gone
dammit. where am I gonna get my 720p rips of Adventure Time and Regular Show now? The guy that upped them only ever upped them there. I know Pirate Bay is huge but nothing ever comes up for me when I use it's search. I rarely use it.

You could pay for TV.

Damn....well at least I got HoTD before it went down.
I just hate having to go to a new site even though there are tons of them.

Considering what I pay for satellite each month (my only option for service), it is hard for me to have any sympathy for your lack of demonoid access. Good riddance to it, hopefully it makes freeloading a little bit harder, at least for a while.

I'm not trying to justify the piracy, but this brings up a good point. Why do we pay so much to watch tv with ads in it?

Id say DDLs are different than torrent sites. When Suprnova went down 10 big ones came out of it. When those have gone down others have popped up, or simply taken the brunt of the userbase - ie Piratebay. As someone who used Megauploads for a side business I was really pissed when it went down and finally converted to using Dropbox as a primary and not just a backup.

I would wager that very little was lost. From my experience with the site, there was little on SNESOrama that is not on Underground Gamer in spades.

Speaking of illegal downloads. Having a tough time finding the new Genki Rockets remix album. Just came out.
I already pre ordered it from Japan and paid $54, but I want to listen to it NOW.
What a tough life I lead.

But seriously, I barely use bittorrent at all these days. Everything is on usenet.
I subscribe to Usenetserver for a little over $7 a month and have unlimited downloads at my connection's max speed (4MB/s).
PS: I just checked, and there are four seasons of "Adventure Time" and three of "Regular Show", both in 720p format, on usenet right now.
Selling half my NES/SNES/PS1 collection (ending Dec 1):

No worries. Something will pop up eventually, its just a matter of time. And someone mentioned it after this, but why DO you/we pay for commercials? That's really all you get. 300+ channels of crap save for a few good channels like Cartoon Network, Sci-Fi when it was actually Sci-Fi, FX, AMC, and a *small* handful of others. And on top of those 300 crap channels, 23 hours of commercials per day. Screw that. I pay for Netflix and more recently Amazon Prime. I do not watch commercials, much_less pay for them. I would have gone with Hulu Plus but they STILL make you watch commercials with their premium service.
