I'd be happier if the update made the story less dumb and deleted half the cutscenes but in general I applaud any company that offers free support for a game this far after release.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

This. Pretty much everything is canon except for Metal Gear (US verion for NES), Ghost Babel, Portable Ops, and the Ac!d games.AppleQueso wrote:You should play those as well.

The only copy I have of this game anymore is a sealed LE...not sure this warrants opening it.

Hmm, perhaps this does warrant a trip to Gamestop.
