MGS4 finally gets an update patch

It adds trophies, and perhaps more importantly, full install option!

Now you don't have to install each chapter all over again on new playthroughs, you can just install everything at once permanently.

(it also removes the MGO stuff from the menu, which is fine as MGO was shut down in June)

Patch is up right now. If you've considered replaying the game but have been turned off by the installs, this might be exactly what you've been waiting for.

Full install is around 9GB

I had given up hope on ever getting trophies for MGS4, and the full install option is icing on the cake.

I think its tied into hyping up for Metal Gear Rising. Either way i'm perfectly happy.

I believe that there was talk of re-releasing mgs4 and they wanted both versions to have trophies.

I'm thinking about playing the series through from what I own (mgs 1, the hd collection so 2, 3, and peace walker and mgs 4.) does anyone one have any suggestions for what order I should pay them? Sorry to thread jack but I figure this is probably the best place for the question.

Wow. This was completely unexpected, but really makes me want to go back and play the game again. Time to see if I've got the HD space.
