Bristol, England. Been here nearly a year and can happily say that I've not experienced much trouble although I've seen BNP and Nazi graffiti in my neighbourhood. There was a racist rally two weeks back through the city centre but there wasn't much trouble. Pretty safe place and none of the drug wars that somewhere like London gets.

Nope, I'm lucky in that I happen to live in one of the safer places in the world. There are crimes and everything, but I never feel like I'm in danger when I leave the house or anything.

For me, not really.. It's not as bad as Mexico.. you can walk down the steet.. if you leave something somewhere its gonna get jacked buy you'll be fine.. lol

what I hate about Long Beach California is the schools.. their so ghetto!! the children act like animals!!! fighting all the time... I'm glad I'm done with school..

CSULB ain't bad but parking sure sucked (damn it I seriously miss Togo's, Cha for Tea, and L&L @ the Ralph's center).

I live in a college town, so near campus there's crime, gangs, and stick up kids.

My neighborhood is safe however to he point I'm thinking of getting rid of my ADT service. With my luck though, a break in would occur the day I shut off the alarm.

But around apartment complexes, even the "luxury" ones, lots of car break ins. So many to the point there were signs everywhere reminding people to hide their valuables.

Had a gun pulled on me once in a Wal-Mart parking lot (of all places, I know).

Had someone try to mug me.

But the most dangerous thing around here are simply people with cars. People can't drive for shit in this city. Not a day goes by where I don't see someone run a red light or stop sign.

I'm kidding, and I'm not. Chicago traffic is hectic, but overall people seem to know how to drive and park their cars. Certain areas of Florida are awful (looking at retirement areas), but like in LA, most people seem to get and obey the laws and don't take a half hour to parallel park.

But here? Terrible drivers. The worst thing is that if you honk at someone when they run a red light and almost clip your car hood, they flip you off. Same with stop signs. Tell someone who drives a Hummer "Dude, if you can't learn to park it in one space you shouldn't drive it", and you find yourself in a potential altercation. Letting someone know "Hey man, just wanted to let you know your driver side brake light is out" can get you a "Mind your own business".

But the worst is a roundabout we have which I've dubbed "The Greenville Gauntlet". It's in a main shopping center (Best Buy/BB&B/Lowe's Foods/etc) and it still puzzles people although it has been there for a decade.

Four entrances, one without a yield sign, the other three with one. Even though it is obvious who has the right of way, people without a yield sign still freeze up and come to a halt with no traffic.

This city would be much safer if everyone drove golf carts.
